ABOUT US

KT'S Bunny Barn is co-owned by Kathy Tellechea and Pam Renfro. We are a small rabbitry in Lexington located in Eastern Oregon. We are dedicated to raising quality Mini Rex rabbits. We started with Blacks, Blues, Brokens, Castors and Torts. In 2003 we added REWS. In 2005 we added Otters thanks to Candy Mathews and in 2006 Himi's. Although we have only been in the business since 2001, our foundation stock comes from breeders with years of experience. Some which include Horn Rapids, QT, Cresthill and EZDaes. We breed for quality, correctness and temperament. Quality show stock, breeding stock and loveable pets are usually available. We are members of the National Mini Rex Breeders Association, Mini Rex Fanciers of the Greater Northwest, Washington State Rabbit Breeders Association, Idaho State Rabbit Breeders Association and The American Rabbit Breeders Association.

A LITTLE HISTORY

Pam and I (Kathy) have been friends since her and her husband John moved here about 12 years ago. We live across the alley from each other. We both share a love of gardening and animals. We each had a few pet rabbits of various breeds. One day we saw an ad in the local newspaper that said "Mini Rex Rabbits For Sale". We decided we should go check out these bunnies because we did not have that breed. We both fell in love with the plush fur, diminutive size and overall appearance of the Mini Rex rabbit. We each came home with a rabbit, which we soon found out was not enough, so we went back to this same lady and she was kind enough to give us a list of Mini Rex breeders that she had purchased stock from. One name on this list was Kathie Zaloudek from West Richland, WA. We called her and she invited us up to visit her rabbitry. That was the beginning of not only finding a wonderful friend in Kathie, but an adventure in breeding, raising and showing Mini Rex.

Thanks for dropping by and taking a look at our rabbits. Please get in touch with any questions or comments!
